Matisse Museum, Le Cateau-Cambrésis
Harmoge carried out the permanent museum fit-out as part of the renovation and extension of the Matisse Museum.
The project involved the creation and installation of several elements.
We produced showcases with five fixed sides in extra-clear 5.5.2 laminated glass, showcases with opening on gas struts, and table showcases with sliding tops on ball bearing slides.
The large freestanding showcases were built with an epoxy powder-coated steel frame and cladding and extra-clear 5.5.2 laminated glass on two sides. The front side is equipped with heavy duty hinges and high-security lock, while the back one features a graphic film backlit by a LED strip fixed to the top. The showcases are also equipped with magnetic tracks for swivelling LED spotlights.
The inclined tables are made of epoxy-coated steel sheet for displaying graphics, while the multimedia table features a transparent varnished oak top.
The fit-out also included a composition of frames in epoxy powder-coated steel for displaying graphics and multimedia elements, as well as an epoxy powder-coated steel structure designed to hold canvas with graphics and support the artwork that can be admired from the seat, finished in aged oak wood with transparent varnish.
We also created painted MDF wainscoting and a display bookcase in two-tone painted MDF with a transparent finish, lit up by recessed LED profiles and LED spotlights.
