Louvre-Lens Museum, new Gallery of Time

Harmoge created numerous display cases and pedestals for the new Gallery of Time at the Louvre-Lens Museum.

The large freestanding display cases are made of extra-clear 5.5.2 laminated safety glass, screen-printed, with hinged door on multi-joint hinges. The fire-retardant MDF base with water-based paint finish is equipped with an airtight technical compartment to house the passive hygrometry system with silica gel and hygrometric probes. The small display cases have 5 fixed glass sides.
Three large display cases are equipped with a sliding tray on heavy-duty slides, with a base reinforced by a metal structure.
The numerous freestanding pedestals, designed to support the weight of the exhibited works, feature a steel structure covered with fire-retardant MDF with water-based paint finish.
The freestanding display walls consist of a tubular steel frame and fire-retardant MDF cladding with water-based paint finish. Display cases consisting of four fixed glass sides are placed against the walls. One display wall also houses a recessed display case with an extra-clear 5.5.2 laminated glass front and a powder-coated steel profile secured with safety screws.
